Public Hearing Notice

LEGAL NOTICE

Notice of Public Hearing: The Batavia Housing Authority (BHA) will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 25th at 10:00 AM in the Community Room at 400 Towers for the purpose of hearing public comments on the BHA’s proposed Capital Fund Program (CFP) expenditures, and to discuss the potential uses of capital funds at BHA properties. The CFP is administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and will make available to eligible local public housing authorities approximately $200,000 per program year, with the principal purpose of improving the physical structures and amenities on the property of housing complexes for low-income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the CFP program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CFP program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to 24 CFR 905.300 and in compliance with HUD Capital Fund submission requirements.

The location of hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact staff at the BHA administrative offices, at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Written comments may also be submitted to Nathan Varland, Executive Director at 400 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020 until June 21, 2018.
